Their are simple ways, and their are things you may never have thought of, so let's take a look.
1. Stand By Functions.
How many appliances in your home have this facility? If you are like most people, it's most things, like your Television, Laptop, PC and DVD player. When all of these appliances go into Stand By mode, they are still using electricity, and some of them use quite a lot. Just because the screens have turned off, it does not mean they stop using power.
So whenever you go to bed or leave the house, turn them off properly, over a period of 1 year, leaving your Television on Stand By could cost you as much as $50 or 40 pounds.
